Mo’s Prose – Day 277 / Pucker Up!

Day 277 –Monday, February 13, 2017

Pucker Up!

Tomorrow’s the day, the merchants have won,
Packaged with love –you old son of a gun
With dew on the flowers and glint off the gems,
(As long as they’re red and with twelve or so stems!)

It’s not a big deal, but still kinda nice,
You’re thought of so fondly, like sugar and spice
The chocolate, so dark, the colors, so pink,
With strawberries floating in tall bubbly drink

But maybe it’s good; a little incentive,
And gives you the nudge, not to be so retentive
It’s not so much after, from Christmas you know,
You could have a prop with some spare mistletoe!

But it doesn’t much matter, the point is enjoy,
With snuggles and cuddles and fuzzy bear toy
And lest you’ve forgotten, my sweet buttercup,
Those lips are for lockin’ so best pucker up!
