Mo’s Prose – Day 319 / Pandora’s Box

Day 319 – Monday, March 27, 2017

Pandora’s Box

You ever do something you thought would be wise,
But soon as you started, you see your demise?
Well, that’s what I did, the pooch she is screwed
The box it is open, and I’m shaking Dude!

That sweet sugar-pie of a guy I’ve been dating?
He likes to eat out –with no dishes or waiting
And I like it too, except for my butt,
More wide than I like it and bit of a gut!

So how do I make up a “pudgy dismounter”?
Whip open an app, of a calorie counter!
But what have I done? I knew there’d be blocks,
I feel like I’ve unleashed a Pandora’s Box!

I did this before; I knew I was bad…
But now that I know it , –I really am sad
You know something else? (she said with a pout)
I’m hungry, but stubborn, she whined with a shout

It won’t take too long, and it’ll be worth it,
But just for the moment, I really could curse it
That’s why they warn you, you get what you see,
And I’ll settle for seeing… a little less me!
