Mo’s Prose – Day 332 / Soothed

Day 332 – Sunday, April 9, 2017

Soothed

On lessor occasion when life isn’t nuts,
Demands slip away, as I climb from the ruts
I sneak off to play, I just –disappear,
And venture wherever I can that is near

I find a new place, I tell a new tale,
Thrilled by meander and finding a trail
Today was a keeper, just my pups and me,
A path by the house that I wandered with glee

I packed on the camera, I focused my lens,
Grinning when finding these new twists and bends
A rock with a message? Then, two and now three?
The last one I kept; it’s speaking to me

A pond by the meadow, with water so black,
Rippling, reflecting her beauty –come back!
My brow did unfurrow, my heart it was moved,
And tension released as the beast, she was soothed
